Evangelist Vance Havner told the story of a boy who brought home a watermelon he had stolen from his neighbor’s farm and proudly showed it to his parents. They knew he had stolen the watermelon but after looking it over for a moment all his parents had to say to their son was… “Don’t get any more of them because you don’t know what they have been sprayed with.”

The parents knowing the unseen poison on the watermelon might make their son sick or even worse could kill him gave him what seems like a concerned warning. They ignored the command of God, “thou shalt not steal” and the concomitant effects of stealing that result from ignoring that commandment. Could the boy get sick from stealing? I can hear a line from a beautiful traditional hymn “There is a Balm in Gilead, to heal the sin sick soul.” I can also hear the warning of God from Romans 6:23…”the wages of sin is death” The parents were concerned for the boys health but not for his future or the health of his soul.

In a recent episode of the popular TV show “Law and Order” an enraged father beat and killed a homosexual man who along with his homosexual partner had adopted his son. The mother a drug addict never told the father he had a son and after being removed from her custody the boy was placed in the home of the homosexual couple. Anyone who knows their bible is aware that killing a homosexual person is just as sinful as being a homosexual person.

In the end the man was tried and found guilty of murder and it would seem that alls well that ends well. Before the entire matter was disposed of the prosecutors gave a final argument that was based on the idea that it was the love of the homosexual couple that saved the boy from a terrible life without a home. Here is the choice; here is the lesser of two evils. One might ask first. is a home a destination for an entire life. Has the American dream become an end in itself or is there still something more?

The homosexual union was bestowed a sort of reverent dignity because of the couples willingness to do what others would not. The constant daily example of a perverted and sinful lifestyle is ignored for the fulfillment of the American dream. Today’s morality labors hard not just to ignore Gods commandments but to deny them and actively fight against them. Can good come from a sinful union? Jesus said it could not. “A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” Matthew 7:18. The lifestyle of the homosexual couple would do far more harm to a boy if he was taught to accept it than years of shuffling around in foster homes. The lesser of two evils won this bout. Not forgetting that “Law and Order” is after all only fiction it is the message that we are addressing here and not the program itself.

That men can become proficient in choosing between the lesser of two evils was known to the apostle James who said…”Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts.” James 2:4. How many parents today have boasted that even though there may not be much in their children’s behavior that is redeemable at least they don’t do drugs? This is the lesser of two evils magnified or perhaps even glorified. Where will it end? Is beating people up OK as long as we don’t kill them? Is robbery OK as long as we are not armed? Is stealing watermelons OK as long as we know they have not been sprayed with a toxic substance?

This is just one example of a dangerous trend in America that leaves our children with only the choice of the lesser of two evils. This is no choice at all.

Islam calls the human away from the worshiping of the creation of Allah and invites him to the worshiping of the creator — Allah himself, because the greatest sin of humanity is the worshiping of the creation.

Among the basics of Islamic Religion, the most important part is the belief in one God ‘Allah’ and He is the only Creator, Ruler, Lord, Administrator and Master of all that exists, And this Universe exists and functions because the will of Allah alone.

Paul refers to true Christians as Children of Light, and Children of the Day (1 Thessalonians 5:5), making reference to light and righteousness versus darkness and sin. The Children of Light include the righteous of all races (Acts 10:34-35). Both John the Baptist and Jesus spoke against the foolish notion that race alone can save (Matthew 3:9). It is by grace we are saved. God has used our white Israelite nations as His chief instrument to serve all mankind, but being white doesn’t make you right! We have the God-given advantage of being white Israelites, but we must be circumcised in our hearts and minds and not just our flesh.

Paul goes further and speaks against mixing and matching pagan ways with biblical truths and speaks against such spiritual adultery and religious fornication and commands Christians not to even marry others with such polluted and diluted beliefs! Where’s your condemnation of baptized paganism? (1 Corithians 10:16-21, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18). Why do you remain in spiritual Babylon as captive Israelites? We know from reading the Scriptures that Christ was without sin; there was no sin in His life. In our monograph titled “A Scriptural Look at Sin” I discussed the fact that we cannot overcome sin by ourselves. We can realize a victory over sin through the strength of Jesus Christ. But how should a Christian live in relation to sin?

I think it is clear in the Scriptures that we are expected to live a life apart from sin. Consider what Peter tells us in this passage, “For to this you were called, because Christ suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: ‘Who committed no sin, Nor was guile found in His mouth’; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten; but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:21-24) It is clear that we are to follow in His steps; we are to live a life free of sin to the best of our ability. When we fail to get rid of the sin in our lives, we are not able to live in harmony with the Word of God. Our relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit suffers because of it.

Let’s explore a little further what happens to us when we become a Christian. When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior we have a deep regret for the sin we have committed in times past. This regret and sorrow causes us to repent of those sins. “Repenting” is not merely saying that we are sorry for those sins. It is, on the other hand, a deep regret which causes us to change the way we live; to stop sinning!

The Bible speaks of this repenting as being “crucified” or as being “dead to sin.” Consider these passages: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me…” (Galatians 2:20); “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” (Galatians 5:24); “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” (Romans 6:1,2); “Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:11). Being “dead to sin” or being “crucified with Christ” is the same as saying that we have departed from sin, departed from a life of sinfulness. Paul says if quite well when he asks the question, “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” His response is emphatic; “Certainly not!” We, as Christian, need to recognize that if we are to live the kind of life which is pleasing to God, sin must not be a part of our lives.

Our Christian walk should be one which is apart from sin. The Scriptures refer to us as “new creatures” and says that we are walking in “newness of life.” “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) “Therefore we are buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4) “Old things have passed away” – these “old things” are the sins which we committed while still outside of salvation. “Behold, all things have become new” – the “newness of life”, the opportunity to live apart from sin.

Is this merely an opportunity to live a life of sinlessness. No! It is much more than that. It is also a command that we should live a life apart from sin. Consider these passages: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2); “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1); “Abstain from every form of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:22). These and other Scriptures clearly tell us that we are expected to live a life of holiness. We are expected to fight against sin in our lives and to win the victory over sin and the consequences that it has in our lives.

It may be a good idea here to revisit our monograph titled “A Scriptural Look at Sin.” In that monograph I stated that it is impossible for us to live a life which is completely without sin. As John said, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8) Am I teaching contradictory doctrine here? Or worse yet, is the Bible? Absolutely not! We are called to righteousness and holiness. We are expected to live a life indicative of that righteousness. Were we capable of a sinless life we would be expected to live such. However, the admonitions above are given so that we can take control over sin and not have sin control us. In other words, as I said in the other monograph, we must have the victory over sin.

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13,14) We should do as Paul says. Forget the things of the past. This includes those sins of the past which we may look back on and remember the “fun” we had at that time. Let’s forget those. It also includes those failures that we have had as Christians trying to overcome sin. I’m sure that each one of us can look back at failures; times when we let sin have the upper hand. WE need to forget those times as well. We should have learned from them, but let us not dwell in the failures.

Let us rather look to the future with boldness, knowing that with the strength of Christ and the Word of God on our side we can “press toward the goal for the prize.”

Are we going to sin in the future? In all likelihood, yes. But John tells us this, “My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not ours only but also for the whole world.” (1 John 2:1,2) If we are striving to overcome sin, and still sin, then Jesus will be our Advocate for us to the Father. Jesus substituted Himself for our sins.

On the other hand, if we do not strive to overcome sin but sin willfully, then there is no further sacrifice for those sins. “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.” (Hebrews 10:26)

Are we expected to live a life of sinlessness? No! Are we expected to live a life which is constantly fighting against sin in our lives, a life which is striving to overcome sin, a life which is pressing toward the goal? The answer is YES!

Finally, what should our attitude toward sin be? Is it just an irritation which we have to put up with? No, I think it is much more than that. We should have a deep hatred for sin of all sorts.

We are called to be like Christ. Well, He hated sin, and so should we. We should hate sin because our Lord and Savior does. But we should also hate sin because we can see what it does to ourselves, our loved ones and others as well. It destroys families and wrecks marriages. It causes people to become addicted to drugs and alcohol and thus destroy their lives. It causes distrust among people, even fellow Christians. It has caused America to change from a righteous nation to one wallowing in the mire of drug abuse, homosexuality, abortion on demand and a crime wave beyond compare. I do not really understand how the Christians in this nation can stand idly by and watch what is happening and not take a stand against sin, both in our own lives and the nation as well.

We should hate sin because we desire to do the will of God. Sin is in direct opposition to the will of God. Often times it is sin that keeps us from doing the will of God. Let us not give in to the temptations of sin, but rather strive earnestly to do the will of the Father.

Dealing with Heart Disease. There are two different types of
Heart Disease, the disease of the flesh and the disease of the
spirit. For a moment I would like to talk to you about the Heart
Disease of the flesh. In 1999 I had a massive heart attack, in
fact I had three. On the first one I was pronounced dead by a
Doctor from a prestigious Hospital. God in His mercy raised me
up to continue my ministry, but He also allowed my body to
maintain the Disease. I understand what many go thru when their
hearts fail them. I know the pain and sometimes the despair that
follows the attack. Fear wasn’t with me but was rebuked. I was
ready to leave this world and be with my Saviour. Living with
this disease is sometimes difficult because the symptoms don’t
show outwardly. Have you ever heard people say, ” I don’t see a
thing wrong with you.?” I have. Heart disease is a silent killer
that gives little or no warning just as Cancer. There sometimes
is no outward sign that a person has the disease. I have
experienced, nights without sleep, pains that come and go and
depression that I have to rebuke. Yes, ministers also are
attacked by Satan. I know how it affects family and friends.
Many friends walk away from you, because they don’t want to deal
with it. The best friend I have is my wife Juanita. She is
always there with words of incouragment and comfort. This
reminds me of the times Jesus sent out the disciples by twos,
one would be able to lean on the other and help each other.
Thats how I feel about my wife, she is my best friend. To be
able to live with this dibilitateing Disease, I turned to the
Bible for my answers, the first question I had for God was, 1.
Why Me? The answer I received was, 1Pe 4:16 Yet if any man
suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him
glorify God on this behalf. 2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My
grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in
weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. But the
most surprising of His answers was, “Why Not You, My Son also
had to suffer.” I accepted these answers and went on. 2. How
will I continue on with my ministry? 1Co 15:10 But by the grace
of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me
was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all:
yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 2Co 8:7
Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance,
and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see
that ye abound in this grace also. The key word here was grace.
His Grace would be sufficient for me to continue in His path.
Unlike the Scientologist, I accepted the help of my doctors,
took my medication, blessed each pill by the grace of God and
trusted in Him. I don’t think about dieing, for its up to the
Lord. I learned one thing real fast, I have no controll over my
time to die, so why worry about it. The Joy of the Lord is my
strength. The best example that God showed me was the life of
Job. Job 1:6-12 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to
present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among
them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then
Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the
earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD said
unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is
none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one
that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the
LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made
an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he
hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and
his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand
now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy
face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is
in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So
Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. So I put myself
in Jobs shoes. Satan have you considered my servant Anthony? So
put yourself in Jobs shoes. Satan have you considered my servant
………………? To live with Heart disease, 1. Live. Don’t
let the disease rule you. 2. Grace. Let Gods grace fill you with
understanding of why you. For God Grace is sufficient. 3. Faith.
Let your faith in God deliver you thru all the pain and
suffering that you go thru. 4. Believe. Believe that God has a
reason that you are allowed to be inflicted. 5. Show. Show the
world what your God can do. 6. Witness. Be a witness to His
majesty and Power. 7. Rebuke. Rebuke the spirit of infirmity. 8.
Stand. Stand, and when you’ve done all, stand on Gods word. 9.
Don’t Fear. Don’t fear or fret about the body but consider the
soul and the one who has power over body and soul. 10. Read.
Read Gods word daily, it comforts the Body, Mind and Soul.
Remember this one thing, Prayer isnt automatic. Many Christians
believe that God will answer all prayers because of the statment
by Christ. Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in
prayer, believing, ye shall receive. This statment has a
condition that goes along with it, “If it be Gods Will !” Mat
26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and
prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup
pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Praying in the will of God is important,” not as I will, but as
thou wilt.” Luke 21:25-26 And there shall be signs in the sun,
and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress
of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those
things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven
shall be shaken. Now to the Spirit.Rev 2:23 And I will kill her
children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am
he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto
every one of you according to your works. Mans heart is a
complex thing not just in the flesh but especially in the
spirit. Man has come from the creation of God in His image to a
creature that is being killed in spirit by the cancer that has
taken over this world. I just want to share with you a letter
that I received today from a good friend of mine. “Dear Brother
Smith, It has been a long time you never heard from me, an
incident occurred that completely took me off my feet. My wife
was shot by armed robbers on september 10th, over $30,000
collected from her as she was working on her new clinic site, 8
bullets has so far been removed from her head, the rib’s were
broken by bullets and the right leg. She will be injected for
28days and no one is permitted to see her during these period.
Brother it’s a tormenting period for me, help me in prayers
please. Bishop Dr.Joseph Rankin” This world is dieing. Many are
calling for peace, but peace is unattainable in this life.
Prostitution, Homo-sexuality, Rape, Murder, Theft,
Unrighteousness, war, rumors of war, Earthquakes, Floods, Fires,
And man still fails to repent or to see the signs of the times.
There are many that say that they belong to God, but which god
do they belong to. John 8:44-47, Ye are of your father the
devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a
murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because
there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of
his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I
tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth
me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He
that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not,
because ye are not of God. The cancer of mans spirit is growing
each and every day. Many worldwide are calling for an alliance
of Christian, Judaism and Islam, to bring about world peace and
prosperity. They want to join all three under one universal
name. But there can only be two that can align themselves
together, Judaism and Christianity, for the Jews and Christians
are brothers. All other, so called religions that denigh the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit are not of God but of that spiritual
cancer. You cannot make an alliance with the Devil. His promises
to you are worthless and misleading. Death and destruction are
in the paths of man, for he knows not the God of our fathers.
Rejection has become the norm around the world. Many are
ignoring the signs of the times, many are being cautious stating
that the things that have are are going to happen are
fulfillment of prophecy. The cancer in man has blinded him from
the truth. He no longer sees the suffering of others, he no
longer sees the signs of the times, the signs in the heavens,
the signs in the earth and the signs on the earth. Hell enlarges
its boarders daily and is never full. Man is on a course that
puts him in the number that will have not only one death but
will die a second time. Heb 3:10-12, Wherefore I was grieved
with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their
heart; and they have not known my ways.So I sware in my wrath,
They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest
there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing
from the living God. 1Jo 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us
not, then have we confidence toward God. Apostasy; An
abandonment of what one has professed; a total desertion, or
departure from one’s faith or religion. Rev 18:7 How much she
hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment
and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen,
and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 2Pe 2:14-22; Having
eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling
unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous
practices; cursed children: Which have forsaken the right way,
and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of
Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;But was rebuked
for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad
the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water,
clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of
darkness is reserved for ever. For when they speak great
swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the
flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped
from them who live in error.While they promise them liberty,
they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a
man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if
after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the
knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again
entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with
them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to
have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known
it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.But it
is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is
turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to
her wallowing in the mire. Apostasy; An abandonment of God for
the lust of the flesh, power, coruption,instability, hipocrits
all. Lost and dieing without hope of a resurection in Glory.
Falling as a tree in the woods with no sound to be heard,
falling with cancer without any truth within them. False
teachers, flase preachers, false prophets, without
understanding, without knowledge, without wisdom. As a tree
falls, so shall it be raised. My words are nothing compared to
the words of God.

The Bible says that an unholy trinity will arise in the latter days. This unholy trinity will be Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Satan is called the Dragon in Revelations. He has always wanted to be like God, if not God, and this will be his one and only chance to actually “play God” in the last 7 years on earth. Satan will take the role of God the Father, the Antichrist will take the role of Jesus and the False Prophet will take the role of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit’s job is to lead people to Jesus. In the same way, the False Prophet will be the one to lead the world to serve the Antichrist. He will be instrumental in arranging for people to have the mark of the beast put on either their right hands or their foreheads.

The 10 nation confederacy will be 10 nations that the Antichrist and False Prophet will rule from. The consensus is that the 10 nation confederacy will be 10 nations from Europe. Right now, there are 25 countries in what is called the European Union. By the time the Antichrist gets ready to take center stage, there can only be 10 countries left to fulfill Scripture.

I’m going to list the main verses from Scripture having to do with the Antichrist, the False Prophet and the 10 nation confederacy that they will rule from. Read these verses very carefully! You are getting an incredible look into the future from the Word of God as to what will becoming our way!

1. The Antichrist is called the Beast, the Lawless One, the Man of Sin and the Son of Perdition in the following verses. The first verse is right out of Revelations.

“Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name … and the
dragon gave him his power, his throne and great authority. I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast, and worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. Then he opened his mouth in blaspheming against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. And it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given to him over every tribe, tongue and nation. And all who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Revelations 13:1-10)

Jesus is the Lamb. Notice that Satan is the one who arranges to give full power to the Antichrist to be able to rule with the power and authority that he will have. This verse literally tells us that the Antichrist will have full rule over the entire world for a short period of time before Jesus finally comes back to defeat him.

2. The next verse tells you that the 10 horns mentioned in the above verse are 10 kings – 10 nations that will give their allegiance to the Antichrist.

“And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdoms as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called chosen and faithful.” (Revelations 17:12-14)

3. The next verse comes from the prophet Daniel out of the Old Testament. Daniel was given very powerful dreams and visions as to what was going to happen at the end of time. The first verse was a dream given to him by God on the Antichrist. This verse also tells you that the Antichrist will be a man!

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the other beasts before it, and it had ten horns. I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.” (Daniel 7:7-8)

Notice Daniel’s description of the Antichrist. He tells us that this man will be the worst dictator the world has ever seen. He will make Hitler look pale in comparison to what he is going to do once he gets on center stage. He says this beast is different than all the other beasts that have ever come before him and that he will be terrible, dreadful and exceedingly strong!

The above verse also implies that 3 of the kingdoms under the Antichrist may not at first go willingly under his rule. He will have to subdue them to get their allegiance as will be shown in the next verse.

4. The next verse from Daniel also interprets the 10 horns as being 10 kingdoms. It goes on to say that the Antichrist will subdue 3 of these kings. It also says that he will be allowed to persecute the saints of God for three and half years. An Angel from God is giving him this message.

Thus he said: “The fourth beast shall be a fourth kingdom on earth which shall be different from all other kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, trample it and break it in pieces. The ten horns are ten kings who shall arise from this kingdom. And another shall arise after them: He shall be different from the first ones, and shall subdue three kings. He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, shall intend to change times and laws. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time, and times and half a time.”
(Daniel 7:23-25)

A time = 1 year. Times = 2 years. Half a time = half a year. This comes to a total of three and half years. The first verse from Revelations 13:1-10 – states he will have authority to continue for 42 months which is also three and half years.

5. The next verse from Daniel gives more information as to some of the personality traits of the Antichrist. He will have fierce features, understands sinister schemes, will be very cunning and will be the epitome of conceit and arrogance.

“And in the latter time of this kingdom, when the transgressors have revealed their fullness, a king shall arise, having fierce features, who understands sinister schemes. His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully and shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, also the holy people. Through his cunning he shall cause deceit to prosper under his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without human hand.” (Daniel 8:23-26)

Notice the last sentence. He will not be destroyed by any one man or nation – but by Jesus Himself when He comes back for the 2nd time to our earth. The description of what Jesus does with him will be in the caption on the battle of Armageddon.

6. The next verse in Daniel gives some additional information on this man. He may be gay as he has no desire for women. He also may have some Jewish descent in him as it states he has no “regard” for the God of his fathers.

“Then the king shall do according to his own will; he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done. He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall magnify himself above them all.” (Daniel 11:36-37)

This man will end up being the ultimate ego-maniac of all time!

7. The next verse out of John tells us that his name is Antichrist.

“Little children, in the LAST HOUR; and as you have heard that the
ANTICHRIST is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” (1 John 2:18).

8. The next verse tells us that he is also called the lawless one.

“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders.” (2 Thessalonians 2:9)

9. The next verse shows that he is called the man of sin and the son of perdition. This verse also tells us that when he seats himself in the rebuilt Jewish Temple at the halfway point in the Tribulation, he will literally pronounce himself to be God!

“Let no one deceive you by any means for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4)

10. The next 2 verses are on the False Prophet. The 1st verse tells exactly what this man is going to do. The 2nd verse gives us his name – the False Prophet. The Bible also calls him another beast.

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by these signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive the mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.” (Revelations 13:11-18)

“Then the beast was captured, and with him THE FALSE PROPHET who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.” (Revelations 19:20)

You will also note that the Antichrist apparently receives some kind of wound that should kill him. My guess is that there is probably some kind of assassination attempt on his life. He miraculously survives this wound and apparently receives a real healing – obviously from Satan himself and this causes the entire world to marvel at him and makes it easier for the rest of the world to fall under his demonic spell and follow him.

Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet will now set the stage for what is called the 7 year Tribulation.
THIS 7 TRIBULATION PERIOD WILL BE THE WORST PERIOD OF TIME THAT THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN. JESUS HIMSELF TOLD THE APOSTLES THAT THERE NEVER HAS BEEN A TIME OF TROUBLE THROUGHOUT HUMAN HISTORY AS BAD AS THIS TIME IS GOING TO BE AND THAT THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER PERIOD AS BAD AS THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE!

Just as God gave His Son three and half years to walk with His power on this earth, God is going to allow Satan, through the Antichrist, to wreak as much havoc and destruction on this earth as he possibly can in the last three and half years of the Tribulation.
